About the Artist
Michelle Rodes, is an artist from Walnut Creek, CA specializing in illustration, pet portraits and surface design. She has over 35 years of professional experience in art and design. She studied fine art at The Richmond University, London and earned Bachelor and Master's of Fine Arts Degrees in Illustration from the Academy of Art University, San Francisco . She also has a Certificate in Interior Design & Interior Architecture from UC Berkeley Extension and a Certificate in Surface & Textile Design from The California School of Professional Fabric Design (Berkeley, CA). She has taught at The Academy of Art University Conceptual Design, Sacred Geometry, Materials of Design, and Advanced Sketching. She is an interior designer at Rodes Interiors rodesinteriors.com, and also writes and illustrate children’s books. She is a member of The Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators.
